Pictures of ME!!! Just kidding.... We had our new little bundle of joy just a little ago and here is her story!
Days before we FINALLY went into labor I had tried everything to get this girl out. Nothing was working. So if all else failed we were prepared to get induced, because there was no way that we were going to have another big baby again! Then finally it happened....I started to have contractions. Not that that was such a big deal because I have been having those since I was 25 weeks, and I have been having real contractions since about 35 weeks. So you really never knew if it was the real thing. After hanging out with my sister for a while on Saturday and having contractions every 4-7 minutes for an hour and a half, I figured I should call Jon (he was working in IF) and let him know that today could be the day. Right when I was about to get off the phone with him, I had "the contraction" and told him that he needs to get home RIGHT NOW! It was GO time! While he is rushing to get home to take me, my sister is on her way over to take Carson, and me trying to finish packing my "bag", I figure I should take a couple of last Pregnancy Pictures of me.
Yes, I did just get my hair dyed a couple days before so I could look "good"! And I really didn't want to have any grays showing in the hospital or for the blessing!

Yes this is a cheesy smile but I wanted to get a profile one before we left. I really liked that shirt, it wasn't meant to be a pregnancy shirt but now I can never wear it unless I am prego!

When we got there they let me stay....thank goodness! They gave me the epidural within an hour I want to say. I guess this time they gave me a different kind then last time because last time I couldn't feel anything when they told me to push....not that I am complaining because I didn't want to feel anything. But because of that, they gave me a different kind. It still worked just as good, but they said that this time I would be able to feel pressure when it would be time to push. I have to say that if any of you are getting an epidural, have Dave do it. He did a fantastic job. So nice and really made you feel comfortable, and he took the time to explain everything to Jon, because he was so curious to know what was going on. After the epidural, my blood pressure started to go down. Because of that they had to keep giving me meds through my IV because I was about to pass out and or throw up, and through the oxygen mask too. This didn't just happen once, it was about 5 times....give or take a few. The lowest it got was 40/20. Crazy!! But all was well. The nurses that I had were AMAZING. Truly they were. Once I got to a 10 which took forever, it felt like. The nurse told me to push, right when I started, she told me to STOP!!! She was about to come right out! They had to get the doc that was on call which was Dr. Lovell. Having never seen him at all, and him not being one of the doctors that I would have seen, he did a great job. He made me feel so comfortable, although it took the whole time to even get him to crack a smile. As soon as he got there it only took one push to get her out. It was AWESOME! Even though she went poo in the womb just like Carson did, there had to be 3 more nurses in the room during the delivery. The only difference was, as soon as she got out she started to scream and Carson needed some help to get him breathing. The great news was, was that she came in on June 7th at 1:48am weighing.......... 7.4 lbs and 20 inches!!! Ya, you read right.....I had a small baby!!! So to all those out there who ever had a big baby, there is hope for you to have a small one!!! Here are some pictures of the newest member of the McMullin fam! Enjoy!!

We have heard that if you are going to have a second child its best to have the baby get the sibling a gift and have the sibling get the new baby a gift. So Brynlee got Carson this 20 piece tool set which he plays with everyday! Good job Brynlee!

Ladies and Gentlemen.....this is Brynlee. Jon calls this her "Elvis" look. She came with TONS of brown hair, Carson had a little more but she has a good amount too. And to this day, non has fallen out!

I know that Carson just looks so happy in this picture!! Ha Ha. Everytime we ask him to smile this is what we get. Go figure. He isn't one to do anything on command except when we ask him to do his air guitar and his solo. If you notice the red on his face you can tell that this year he actually ate his cake....it took a lot of convincing from daddy but he finally did it!

We had enough cake this year so we did a Cookie Monster Cake too!

And the Elmo cake this year. Carson has really become a fan of Elmo lately.....hence the Elmo Cake and all! I know......I did a GREAT job!! Actually I had my friend Callie help me with it!

Meet Carson's friend Brecken.....they are buddies. He lives across the way and they PLAY often. If that's what you would call it! This is really how it goes, they play with toys, then one of them only wants the toy the other is playing with. So the chase begins. Chasing the other thinking that will make them give the toy up, when that doesn't work, then the slapping, poking, hitting begins. And when all else fails, they wrestle. Then they have to Dance afterwards. Then it all starts over again. Oh, Boys!

Guitar Hero

Ever since we got the Wii a while ago a bunch of our friends have all talked about Guitar Hero and how awesome it is. So While my parents were here in town for my Aunt and Uncles Farewell again......they are going on their second mission to St. Petersburgh, Russia. My sister was able to borrow this awesome game from one of her friends and we had a blast playing it the entire weekend!

Now I usually don't like to take pregnancy pictures of me because I feel like I get "too" big. But since I thought that someday I would like to look back and see how I looked, I would do it more this time round. Let me tell you, this time is SO different than last time with Carson. I didn't get sick at all, and forgot that I was even pregnant until my belly kept getting bigger and bigger. This time, I have been nauseous pretty much the whole time thus far and still am. Everyday is different but I am ready for that part to be over! I crave healthier food this time too. Which is good! Instead of the salty foods its been fruits, veggies, and more salads. We find out what we are having here in a little. We think it might be a girl just because of how different it is, but you never know!

While we were in Midway we had to go sledding especially with all the snow. Although Carson was the only one with really all the snow attire...well all except for the boats. We haven't been able to find a pair that fit him. Very frustrating.

Christmas

For Christmas this year Jon's family decided to go to a resort in Midway with Trend West. It was a lot of fun! We had a lot of food, hung out, watched movies, watched in down poor snow (well over 2 feet by the time we left), sledding, ping pong playing, playing lots of games, and tons of catching up. We were able to to see how Jon's family celebrates Christmas. We read stories from the scriptures, and sang a couple songs, then Wally played "Santa" handing out the gifts. Santa was pretty good to us this past year. We got lots of games, clothes, Dvd's, and Carson got lots of toys! Enjoy some of the pictures!

She opens it up and thought why would you guys give us a picture of Carson's ultrasound......not so much...that was a picture of the new one coming.! That's right, we are expecting baby number 2 in June. But this time we are going to have it come early due to us NOT wanting another BIG one again!

This year for Thanksgiving we were able to go to my parents house. It was just nice to get away and just relax and not worry about anything! And it was also fun to have Carson get to know his cousins a little more now that he is older and can talk to them and play! We didn't do much besides eat, do puzzles, talk and hang out, watch the kiddos play and for the adults, play the wii of course! Can I just say, the Wii Fit is a lot harder than it looks. It really wares you out! We brought our camera but like we always do, we forgot to take pictures. Sorry.
Lets be honest....the really good thing about Thanksgiving is the day after or in other words...Black Friday!!! Its tradition for us girls to get up early early that morning and get pretty much all of our Christmas shopping done with by noon at the latest! Most of the time there is always that something that you have to have. This year we were all dissapointed. There wasn't that one thing, or for that matter really anything that I really wanted to get. I mean there were some things that I would like to get but that was pretty much it this year. Not going to lie, I really enjoy the hussel and the bussel in the morning and the rush you get to see if you can get the things you had your eye on before they run out. Don't get me wrong though, I am not one of those people that push others down or who get rude out there. If someone falls, I will help them up, and if I am waiting in line and someone has less items than I do, I will let them ahead of me. Overall, it wasn't a let down. We got some really good things and Jon was pleasantly surprised with some of the items he got! Hope you all had a wonderfull Thanksgiving and made sure to tell everyone how thankful you are to have them in your life!

Trying to find a costume for Carson this year was a lot of fun, just because he can walk around and have more fun with it all! So this year we thought that Po from Kung Fu Panda would work perfectly with Carson, mostly because he has the belly to make it work! He had so much fun at the Trunk-or-Treat. He got lots of candy, he held his own bag to carry the candy, and he kept the hat on his head for the most part! YEA!

Zoo

After a long time of trying to convince Jon to go to the Idaho Falls Zoo with Carson and I, he finally decided to go with us. And how would have thought......we had a lot of fun! I hadn't gone to a Zoo since I lived in Colorado and was little. I was just excited to go. It was a lot of fun to see the animals that they had. The only real downer was that at a lot of the cages they had a sign up saying that "BRR, its too cold here for this animal. They had to go to their indoor housing for the winter. They will be back next Summer though!" Whatever.....you live in Idaho now, get use to this weather! It was fun, and made some really great memories!

5 things I love about Carson

1. How he come up to give us hugs and kisses all the time. Or we will tell him to go and give hugs or kisses to to daddy or mommy and he will do it. So cute!

2. How he dances to music in the background, or he loves to dance to the theme song of mickey mouse club. He absolutely loves that show.

3. How much Carson loves Bananas. No joke. He has to have one in the morning every morning. As soon as he wakes up one of the first words out of his mouth is ......... "Nana?"

4. How curious he is all the time with anything. He finds something new everyday and figures out how to play it or work it. It's amazing how smart he is.

5. How he is still a momma's boy, but becoming more of a daddy's boy everyday. He loves being with daddy all the time. From the minute he gets home to the minute he goes to work in the morning its all about dad. Although it is funny how if Jon tries to tickle me instead of laughing I will act like Jon is hurting me. Carson will get so mad at Jon and start crying. So cute. He does love his mommy!!

Master Guard Fire Alarms

We went to a dinner seminar about fire alarms. Let me tell you, very interesting. Turns out that the fire alarms that we all have in our houses, apartments, anywhere really aren't that reliable. If you didn't know, we are suppose to clean our fire alarms out once every week. And the one fact that was crazy to us was that 55% of those fire alarms don't work when a fire is happening. And only 45% of them actually work when needed. For fire extinguishers, to not have the plastic black handles because the nozzle breaks off. So if you are going to be in the market for one, make sure to get the metal ones. Those were some of the facts that we found out at the seminar.

We found out that Master Guard Fire Alarms are the most reliable fire alarms out there. They work 100% of the time and if there has ever been a fire, the family was able to get out of the house within 3 min of the alarms going off. They have never not gone off when needed. And if anyone purchases these fire alarms they come and install them and if you leave, they come and take them out and re-install them in your new place. They have a life-time guarantee. That makes us feel good about them in our place!

Shut the door, Put the can up

I don't know if all kids go through this stage but Carson is in it and its really kind of gross! He all of a sudden has a huge fascination of Toilets, and the Garbage can. Seriously the two nastiest things in a house. If I forget to shut the door to the toilet you know that he is in it either throwing stuff into it or splashing his hands in it then.......he licks his hands afterwards. Ya...Gross! Or if its not the toilet, you know he has went to the trash can. With this he either puts whatever he can find in it or he will pull everything out of it and throw it everywhere in the house. Gotta love Toddlers! So from here on out unless we want a toilet licking hand or trash everywhere, we keep all doors shut in this house and keep the trash can on the table for now until we find a better place for it! Any ideas?

Allergy Test...Take 2

After getting the first test, I really didn't want to get the second one done. It wasn't all that fun and to be honest at this point I didn't want to know what I am allergic to. I just wanted to pretend that I was healthy and not allergic to anything! When I got over that "dream" I went to get the second test done with.

Once they started the testing, the nurses kept coming in and asking me questions and making sure that I was doing ok. It was nice. Then when the nurse came back in to do the measuring to the reactions (if I had any) she kept asking me if I was feeling ok, if I could still breathe, did I feel a cough coming on, etc. I told her that I would let her know if I was feeling anything coming on. I can completely understand why she was asking me all the questions, especially after the other test. All the nurses were great though! Thanks for the concerns!

To make a long story short, I didn't get 55 shots in my left arm, I did get around 40 though. There was a ton of itching, burning, bumps and lots of swelling. Not so much fun. I tried to get some pictures from the receptionists phone because mine died on the way down. Those pictures didn't turn out very well. But at least you can see what it looked like.

Overall, with all the results. Turns out that I am deathly allergic to anything and everything out there. Not joking at all. The doctor told me that if it was up to him, I would live in a bubble with oxygen pumped in because that's how bad it is for me. Just means that I have to be careful with what I do and when I do stuff. For example if the grass is freshly cut, farmers are cutting hay, flowers are blooming, trees and everything else is pollinating, and there are cats and dogs out, to not go out and roll around in the grass and lay under the tree next to the animals. Or not to sit next to the heat vent with stuffed animals, none vacuumed floor, and dust everywhere. Not a good idea for me. I have to be cautious to whats going on outside and inside. No biggie.

So my choices are to go and get shots once a week for the next 5+ years or to take allergy meds everyday for the rest of my life. And by me taking the shots it wouldn't get rid of the allergies, it would just make my reactions not as bad. Just to give you an idea of how expensive the shots would be. For me to get the shots for just 10 weeks we are looking at around 1300 dollars every ten weeks! But didn't everyone know that that kind of money to us is just pocket change!! NOT! Needless to say we are just going to take the allergy meds everyday for the rest of my life. And after all this........ MY EAR IS STILL PLUGGED.

Allergy Testing

Sorry for the Pictures you are just going to have to turn your head!

As many of you know, I have been very frustrated with really just one thing that seems to NEVER go away......My left ear has been plugged for over 2 1/2 years. And it just never seems to ever want to pop. Talk about FRUSTRATING!! I can hear out of it, it just sounds cloudy. To kinda give you an idea of what I hear....put your hand over you mouth in a fist and talk in it. That's what it sounds like in my left ear. To make things worse I can't sleep on my left side because it plugs my ear more. Then it takes me half the day trying to get it to were it normally is.

I have tried to go to a doctor up here in Rexburg, but he didn't do much at all. Then I heard of a doctor in IF and he is great. The first time I saw him he hadn't heard of this at all. An ear being plugged for this long. He said that we are going to try a lot of different things until we find out what is making it so it wont un-plug. So we have tried a number of different things and yet nothing has worked. He did a scope through my nose to get to my ears and found out that I had massive swelling. Not good news. He then wanted me to take an Allergy Test to see if I was allergic to anything and that was the reason for it not popping.

The Allergy Test was not really like I thought it was going to be. I get there and the nurse pulls out 6 trays full of little bottles. She then grabs a hand full of shots. She gives me 5 shots to start off with. They aren't fun to get. Just to give her an idea of the reactions that I might have. It could have been worse. I felt burning and itchy......real bad....I really wanted to scratch my arm so bad but I couldn't. This is the after getting the first shots......

Then came the first round of shots... What they do is they give you a dosage of everything. Meaning cotton, grass, sage weed, rag weed, pollin....ect. Then if you have a big enough reaction they stop. But if you don't then they give you a higher dosage until you have a reaction, and if they give you the highest dosage that they have and you still didn't have a reaction then you aren't allergic. I thought that I wasn't going to have that big of a reaction, and I was right..all it was was more burning and me wanted to scratch it nothing new from the first 5.....

Until the second round of shots came. Let me tell ya....NOT FUN. After she gave me the shots she left the room for ten min. to see if I had a reaction. The doctor came in and we joked it was fun. I was having more of a reaction (which is good and bad. Good for we aren't just throwing away money for no reactions, and bad because we now know that I am allergic to something). Then the Nurse came in just a couple of minutes later. Good thing too. While she was taking the measurments I was starting to have a hard time breathing and started to develop a cough. I wasn't looking like my self so she had the doctor come in right away. He said I just talked to you a little ago and you don't look good anymore. While she is doing this I am now Wheezing for air and coughing non stop. He then instructed the Nurse to give me a couple Antihistamines right away, have me take a couple "puffs" of an inhaler, and to give me an epi pen. Yep that's right, thats how bad of an reaction I had to the Allergy Test. After this kind of reaction, they stopped the test and are going to have me come back another day to finish it. This time getting tested for Dusts and Molds....YEA! They said that they get this kind of bad reaction once maybe twice a year. Lucky me, I was their one this year! Hopefully I will try to not make it two!

After all this I ended up getting 55 shots just in my right arm. I hope that with finishing the test I wont end up have 55 more in my left arm!

The day has come...

I have been working for Melaleuca for over three years almost 4. I was a Full-time employee up until I had Carson then I went back being a Hot Shot. A Hot Shot at Melalueca is actually quite nice! I only had to work 4-6 days a month and I got paid pretty decent money doing it. They people there were so much fun! But every time it was time for me to work something ALWAYS came up. It was usually me trying to find someone to watch Carson the day of me working because Jon ended up having to work long that day or working out of the city. It finally got to the point of me just quitting. Yep that's right after 3 long years I finally called it quits! Not going to lie, it was a REALLY hard thing for me to do. I am not a quitter at all. The hardest part of it was having to leave the people that I worked with. They are all so much fun. The stories, the jokes, and even the work. Even though we ended up having to re-train ourselves every time, it was a lot of fun! I will miss everyone of you guys!

My sister-in-law and brother-in-law blessed their baby on the 17th of this month. We weren't able to go down to make the blessing because stuff came up that we couldn't get out of. Sorry guys. After the blessing his family (mom, dad, and sister) stayed in Utah for Education week. After the week was over they started to go back to Washington State. They were nice enough to want to come and visit us on their way back! We had so much fun staying up late, talking about everything, laughing, story telling, catching up, playing games and watching movies, and eating goodies and playing the wii! We got some pictures of the weekend, and boy was it fun to kill everyone on the Wii!!! :)

Grandma goes garage selling every week and so do I, but she always seems to find the cool big things! When Jon and I go we find cool small things...which is good too! Grandma found this little house for Carson. He loves to play with it when I pull it out. As you can see it is very big. If we had a backyard that's where it would be, but because we don't it sits in our kitchen. I pull it out when I am making a meal, or baking goods. He loves to go down the slide and climb back up it and do it over and over and over again! Thanks Grandma!

Spray Park

We love to go to the Spray Park here in Rexburg. Carson loves the water and would love it even more if he could walk by himself! Here are some pictures of our time there! I know a lot of pictures of Carson, but it was really fun to go with him and sorry for the ones that you get to see of me!

A little be-lated......alright 3 years be-lated. Ever since we got married our bed just sat on the floor. We didn't even have bed frame. I know sad.....Oh well! We thought that it was about time to actually make our bedroom look like a bedroom. We love having it! So now all we need to do is give our room some color to make it seem more like its ours!

For our anniversary this year I had no idea what we were going to do. We didn't really want to make any "big" plans because Jon was working so much trying to get jobs done and get new ones started. But on the day, Jon surprised me with a Massage and a Manicure. He planned for a sitter and for us to go on a date that night! What a great man I have!!! I absolutely loved everything at Sage Day Spa. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Alright, so I have been telling Jon that I would really like to get the Nintendo Wii for some time now. My parents have one and its just so much fun to play with friends and family. With a lot of thought and debate we decided that we would look to see if they had any and if they did we would get it. And everytime that Wal-Mart would get some in, they would be sold out within just a few hours. It just happened that I called and they just got 9 in the day of our anniversary, and by the time that i got there to get it, they only had 3 left. And I got there just a couple hours after they got them in. Talk about crazy! We love it, its so much fun to play! And let me tell ya, I beat Jon at everything! We decided that the Wii was our gift this year! Happy Anniversary Jon, I love ya and am very proud of all that you do and accomplish!

They played for a couple of hours while Jessica and I got to catch up! I love that Carson is at that age were he can play with other kids or play by him self so I can get things done!!

Island Park

We were able to go to Island Park for the weekend, so we took another couple with us, Chris and Lindsay! It was so much fun to go and to just get out of Rexburg. I love it here, but its always nice to just get away even if its just for a night or so! It was so much fun in Island Park, the weather was perfect, the water was just the right temp, the company was great and the cute cabin that we stayed in was just right for us, what more could you ask for??!!! We hung out and played games, played in the water and food always tastes better when you make it somewhere else! I loved it and we are going to try to do it at least once every year if not more!

Kierston Graduates

My sister got here in 2003 and she just graduated with her BA on the 18th of July. I am so proud of her! She was able to graduate with her good friend Jenna. They were roomies when they first got here and have been really good friends ever since. Congrats Kiers and I am so proud of you!

We went down in May for my brothers wedding and since we were able to get the entire family there my mom wanted to get new family photos. Ones in her words......" Like usual on most Saturday's Jon has to work. So Carson and I both wanted to spend some time with him, so we decided to go to where he was working that day. It was fun just spending time with him, but towards the end of being there one of his friends showed up in his new truck. Mostly to show it off to Jon! But he had 2 of his motor bikes in the back. He let us play with them for a while. So much fun! Jon got the hang of it real fast. Because he thought that he was a "pro" at it he decided to take Carson along on the ride with him. I was timid about it, but I knew that he wouldn't let anything happen to him. When it became my turn, it was a little of a rough start! I gettin ready and then I forgot which handle bars meant what, so I ran the bike into the Jeep.....the back bumper. It didn't do anything to it. But it sure was funny to watch! Needless to say I got the hang of it, it just took me a little while before I was comfortable to get out of first gear! It was fun. Enjoy the pics!

July 4th!

For the 4th of July we were just planning on staying here and going to the parade and see the fireworks in Idaho Falls. But then plans changed when my sister and her family moved to California. My sister had to get a "procedure" done so my parents went down there to be with her and her family. Prior to this my parents had gotten 4 tickets to go to the "Stadium of Fire". They were going to take Natalie and Madalyn (my nieces), because the Blue Man Group and Hannah Montana.....Miley Cyrus were going to perform. They LOVE her! So Kierston and I got to take the girls instead. It was so much fun.......Thanks mom and dad for that! It was probably one of the coolest things I have ever been to. And my first (if you can call it) Concert ever!!!

If you haven't ever been to one of these before, I would recommend it to everyone to go at least once!! Just make sure to leave 2+ hours to get there! I wont tell you all everything that happened, it would take way too long, and might get boring! I do have a ton of pictures so bare with me. Our camera is a good one, just not good enough to get good close up pictures of the Blue Man Group and Miley Cryus. You might have to click on the pictures to get a better view of it! Oh, on a side note, I heard Janelle Tingeys' sister sing the Anthem.....she is Ms. Utah, and she has a beautiful voice!

Alright the fireworks lasted a long time. The girls were getting really tired and were about to fall asleep during it. They were so good......One might say tons better than the Idaho Falls show!!!

On our way out we found "Miley Cyrus' " limo. They got a picture of the awesome limo. They tried to look inside to see if they could see her, but no luck. It really isn't hers.......at least I am assuming that, but the girls didn't know that. The girls really thought it was a pretty limo.

It was so much fun. The girls absolutely loved it. Thanks again to Mom and Dad for letting Kiers and I take them. It was something that I will remember for ever!

I hate Spiders...

It doesn't matter what kind of spider it is, I hate them all! Once we moved in to our House, I found a couple. Not enough to get me all worried about having Carson on the floor. But then that all changed. In a 4 day period we found 5 hobo spiders and 3 nasty black ones with white spots on them. I'm not talking about little dinker ones, these weren't huge but they were big. I didn't want to spray until I put Carson down for a nap one day. When I came down stairs something caught me eye. It was seriously the size of a quarter and half of another one. Big, black, with white spots on it, that was the last straw. The next day I went and got the Home Defense spider spray. I sprayed the entire house. I went crazy with it. Let me tell ya, not one spider since. I love Home Defense. I would suggest to anyone that is having any kind of problem with spiders or any kind of creep crawly to use this stuff. It works like a charm!

Turbo...

The Marsdens......our really good friends here in Rexburg had a turtle that they got when they were first married. He was seriously the size of a quarter. Now he is at least 6 inches long and about 4 inches wide. He has grown so much. It has been fun to see him grow through the years.

Now as time goes by and as Turbo grows they have had to get a bigger tank for him. Those things are a lot heavier then you would think. Then the family got into the apartment that they have been waiting for. I was extremely excited for them! But because of the size of the place they had to get rid of their precious Turbo. The night before he left, the Marsdens had us over for the "last dinner". It was fun to spend time with Turbo one last time and of course Adam, Callie and Kaden! We gave him a couple of little gold fish. We all thought that would be a "proper" goodbye dinner! It was fun. We will sure miss you Turbo, we have had some great times together, and got some really good videos! Good luck!

One Year Doc Check Up

We had Carson's one Year check up and wow I can't believe how little he really is! Alright, for all you out there who didn't know this get ready! When he was born he was in the 95 percentile for his height and weight. He came in weighting at 10.2 and 21 inches long. Yes I know he was a BIG boy!!!
But now..............
Height: 29 inches
Weight: 18.1 pounds
After being in such a high percentile now he is in the 2nd percentile for Weight and 17 percentile for his Height. Overall that means he is just a small kiddo! I have heard that kids are suppose to double if not triple their birth weight by the time they turn 1. We aren't quit there yet but it will come!

Yes, I know that it's a lot later than his birthday but at least I am getting the pics up! Carson had his first birthday party at our house, it was so much fun! Of course I freaked out about every little detail and wanted everything to be perfect. I am like that with pretty much everything I do. Kinda annoying actually! We ended up having some friends over and had a great time. Carson got some really great things too! We couldn't have asked for better friends, we are truly blessed. Thank You to all!

Why do I feel like I live in Apartment Complex again?

Talk about ridiculous. We own a Townhouse, and we love it. But now I feel like I live in apartment complex again. They have a couple of parking spots in front of each Townhouse. Everyone knows that each house has 2 parking spots, and the parking spots between the units are for "visitors". But I guess that people just aren't as smart as we would like to think. So because of problems that we have been having (not talking about us per say, everyone here) they are marking every parking spot and making everyone here have a parking permit. I thought that since we own this place that they wouldn't treat us like we are single, I guess I was wrong. I guess that commonsense doesn't run in everyone's jeans. And Jon has a trailor for his profession and now he can't even park that here either. That was one reason that we bought a Town House so that we can park our stuff here. If we park it in the parking lot even if it won't be in anyone else's way they are going to tow it. Talk about very frustrating. Even though we own this place I feel like they are treating us like we live in an apartment complex again. If anyone gets offended by this I am sorry, it's not meant to do that, we are just frustrated about the situation.

Fishing

I have loved to fish for a long time. I hate fish though, the taste, the smell, its all gross to me. But I love to go fishing. I know weird, but I love it. I have been trying to get Jon to take me for a long time but we can never seem to go. Thanks to Kiers and meeting Jake we can now go fishing anytime. Jake's family lives right behind the river so we just go to his house and go. I was so excited to go with Kiers. Not wanting to take Carson with us we left him with Jake's family. They were such good sports. The figured out that if they kept giving Carson a cheerio every couple minutes he wouldn't cry or fuss for them!

Once we got to the river we had to walk across a ton of rocks to get to the "good" fishing spot. I can say that I have never been so grossed out in my life it was like walking over a ocean of spiders just to get there. I HATED IT. Ok, so maybe that was an exaggeration, but there were seriously a ton of them everywhere. Everytime you would take a step you would see spiders moving to get out of the way. They were everywhere. Gross just thinking about it. Once we got there and started it was so much fun. By the end of the day, that's right I caught 3 fish!!! I didn't get any pictures because we left the camera in the car.....oh well. It was lots of fun, maybe I will be able to get Jon to take me to a place with not so much spiders next time!

Crawling.....Not really

According to Baby Center and all those magazines, and all the baby sites on-line, they all say that your baby could start to crawl from as early as 3 months. Well by the time Carson turned 8 months (which is the usual age were kids start to crawl or when they get really close to do it) Carson was still just rolling around. He got to where he wanted to go just by rolling. It didn't bother me, I didn't have to baby proof the house yet! So we are coming up on a year now, and still no "official" crawling yet. He has mastered the "Army Crawl" as of now. He can get around pretty dang fast. It's really quite funny to watch especially when we set the bottle across the room for him to get. We will have to get that on video so everyone can watch! We aren't worried or anything, some kiddos take longer to get the hang of things. It's fine, but he talks a ton. He babbles on for hours though! I'll take that anyday!

I love when the semester's end up here because it becomes our little town again. You don't have to fight to get good parking where ever you go, you don't have to wait forever in lines, and there isn't have as much traffic, its wonderful! Its nice to have that one week or if we are lucky a little longer. We look forward to that break everytime a semester starts again. But than we realize that everytime that break is here we get to have a "visitor" stay with us! Whom would that be......my sister Kierston. Yup, its true. She has stayed with us ever since we got married, so that would be going on three years now! I'm not saying that having her here is a bad thing, its actually quite fun! We have a babysitter here all the time, we have to get more food than usual, take shorter showers, our house becomes a storage unit but she does provide constant entertainment. Especially when you lose at Old Maid!!! Really she is fun to have around when the break comes around. We love you Kiers!

Since I am now a stay at home mom, it can sometimes drive me crazy. Ya know not being able to go and do things spur the moment, the baby talk all day long. It can make someone crazy! Growing up I never really understood the process of getting family pictures. I was always just told what to wear and where to be at what time. Now that I am the "mom" I don't know where to go to get them and I hate the thought of how much its going to cost us. Thank Goodness for BYU-Idaho, and the IBC program! I heard from a friend of ours, that there was an IBC group that was doing Family pictures instead of selling drinks, food or what not. Our friend's family took some family pictures and they turned out fantastic. They had nothing but compliments to give. So I thought why not....right? We had such a great time too. The photographer was amazing to say the least. He did a great job on getting Carson to smile! Get this, the best part was, the sitting fee was only 15 dollars and all we had to do was purchase one picture at cost and we would get the cd of all the pic's that they took for free. Thank You Aspen Digital for such an amazing job and for making this a great experience for us!

Easter Bunny

We went to Wal-mart on Saturday to get some last minute Easter stuff when I saw the Easter Bunny there. There was a employee taking pictures of kids and the bunny. I thought that it would be a cute idea for us to get one with Carson. I thought that for sure it was going to cost us something......but to our surprise.......it was free. A 5*7 picture for free. I was so excited about it. And luckily was able to have my friend Lindsay there to get Carson to smile. It took some time, Carson kept looking at the bunny then back at me to make sure that I was still there. Back and forth and back and forth for a little. Good job Lindsay on getting a smile!!!Thanks for being such a good sport in all this!

What's Wrong, Little Pookie?

Carson loves books! We read to him every chance we get. Before he goes down for naps, bed, or just because. We really want him to love reading. We got him this book called, What's Wrong, Little Pookie? By Sandra Boynton. Its a board book, and he absolutely loves it! This is the book that he can just sit down and look at for at least an hour. And it helps that its a really cute one too! It really helps me out when I need to clean the house, it keeps him busy!

Easter Time!

So its tradition now, every year that we are in Rexburg for Easter I am the lucky one that gets to throw the Easter Egg Hunt! Not going to lie, I really do enjoy doing it! Every year we always have done it in the the Taylor Building. This year was going to have to be a different place due to a Relief Society Fireside in that building. We had to find a place big enough to hide about 165 eggs. We are talking good hiding places not just on the tables or on the floor! After scouting out the buildings and finally deciding that the Ricks would be the place this year. And a good choice that was, everyone had a hard time finding the eggs! At the end of it all, we still couldn't find 2. Oh Well!!! Maybe someone else will find them and enjoy the candy!

On Saturday we finally got to hang out as a family all day long! It was so much fun! We we able to make Carson laugh so much it was awesome! Just thought that it would be fun to have everyone see how big he has gotten and how cute his laugh is!

Today started out like any other Sunday. Getting up at the crack of dawn- that's when Carson loves to get up! And then of course Jon making breakfast.. It seemed pretty much normal except Jon and I were starting to get sick; just with a cold, nothing serious. When we get to church, Carson was in a good mood playing with Dad. Jon had put a blanket on Carson because we were about to feed him some cheerios. Right after a couple of Cheerios he started to choke a little-not that big of a deal. Jon worked his magic and calmed Carson down. When a couple minutes later Carson did a full on Throw Up all over the blanket and Dad's arm. We aren't just talking one spew, it was two HUGE ones. All over the blanket. Good news though.......not a drop got on his outfit!! Not knowing if Carson was coming down with anything we decided to go home. And to help us get better too. I knew that this day would come when one of our kids would do something like this, and that day was today! So from here on out it's not going to be anything that we haven't survived!
